Embracing unity: our ecumenical journey
Discover how The Society of Traditional Old Catholics fosters unity, cooperation, and meaningful relationships among Christian denominations, all while cherishing our shared traditions.

What ecumenism means to us
At The Society of Traditional Old Catholics, 'Ecumenism' is about promoting unity, cooperation, and better relationships among Christian denominations, with a particular focus on tradition. For our community, it means recognising and celebrating our shared faith while respecting the unique paths of others. It’s about building bridges, not dissolving boundaries, and finding common ground in our devotion.

The significance of sacramental unity
The idea of Ecumenism is deeply significant for our Society and its mission, primarily through the pursuit of unity within the Sacraments. We believe that shared sacramental life strengthens the bonds between Christians and offers a profound connection to the divine.

Unity without uniformity
We want visitors to understand that while we strongly believe in unity between all denominations of Christianity, we do not promote unification, uniformity, or conformity. We uphold the rights, beliefs, theology, and divinity within all organisations. Our aim is to support all organisations as brothers and sisters in the faith, celebrating our shared journey while honouring individual identities.
